How Unity with Jesus Works
Part 1: Jesus in Me
The part of Jesus that lives in you is called the “Holy Spirit,” which is kinda like a “different attitude.”
Part 2: Me in Jesus
God says that Jesus’s followers are “in” Jesus. Think of this as being “immersed” into Him like you’d get immersed into a good Netflix show. This immersion is represented as baptism.
Oneness with Jesus increases the more you buy in to Him.
(This “buy in” is called “faith.”)
The more you believe in something, the more it defines you.
For example: if you believe that organic food is healthier, that belief will change your actions, causing you to buy organic food.
If you believe that Jesus’s way is best, that belief will change your actions, causing you to prioritize His way over your own.
You’ll automatically buy in to Jesus as you hang with Him.
(That’s why the Bible says “Faith comes by hearing.”)
