Psalm 47 (Rhyming)

(1) Chosen by a Mighty God

People should clap in every nation,

And shout to God with jubilation. 

Jehovah’s supreme! He deserves our fear.

He’s the great King of this earthly sphere. 

When He speaks, nations sink below; 

Beneath our feet is where they go. 

God loved Jacob and gave him fame; 

Now He’s picked us to inherit the same. 

(5) God Rules the Earth

God rises up to a roaring battle cry,

As trumpet blasts echo through the sky.

Celebrate God with the songs you sing,

Let’s sing them out, and praise our King.

God is the King over all the earth,

Let’s make songs that ponder His worth.

Over each nation God reigns alone,

Seated above on His holy throne.

Global leaders flock to one place,

To join God’s people: Abraham’s race.

Leaders gather from near and abroad,

All of them belong to Abraham’s God.

These world protectors belong to the King,

Yes, God is superior to everything.
